What This Is

This is an invitation to apply for the current open enrollment period at GuitarZoom Academy.

What We Do

We help committed guitar learners make consistent, noticeable progress by developing the skill and understanding that lead to confidence, creativity, and true musical freedom.

How It Works

Every student gets an assessment, followed by a personalized plan, structured practice routine, and live interactive feedback from professional instructors to ensure they reach their goals.

What This Is Not

  • This is not a prerecorded course or a video library you complete on your own.

  • It is not traditional “guitar lessons.”

  • It is not a one-size-fits-all curriculum.

What This Is

The Academy is a live, professionally guided path to real, musical growth.

  • Progress is driven by a disciplined cycle of clarity, structured practice, performance, and live feedback.

  • First, you gain clear direction on what to practice and why.

  • Next, you practice with intention.

  • Then, you bring that work into live sessions where instructors assess and guide you in real time. You adjust based on that feedback and repeat the cycle.

This repeatable process is what turns practice into performance — and performance into confidence.

The Guided Performance Model™

Our process gives you with three things:

  1. Clarity: define your goal and build a clear, structured path aligned with your current level and desired outcome.

  2. Structured Practice: develop the right skills through organized, consistent practice supported by accountability.

  3. Live Performance & Feedback: apply what you practice and receive live assessment and direction from professional instructors.

The Velocity Framework™

We deliver results through three progressive phases:

1. The Bridge (Day 1)

Progress begins with clarity.

  • First, we help you define and document your goals.

  • Next, we establish measurable milestones.

  • Then, we build a structured success path aligned with your current level and desired outcome.

From day one, you’ll have direction, clarity, and a clear roadmap forward.

2. Structure & Accountability (Weekly)

Progress is driven by habit.

  • This phase builds the daily and weekly habits that turn effort into steady, noticeable progress.

  • When practice becomes clear, structured and consistent, improvement compounds.

  • Consistent habits create disproportionate results.

3. Dynamic Learning (Daily)

Dynamic Learning defines the Academy experience.

  • Learning happens live, not alone.

  • Feedback is immediate, not delayed.

  • Progress is built through performance, not passive study.

Question: “What if I don’t want to play live because I’m intimidated?

Answer: You are never required to play live.

Many students begin by simply observing classes and open rooms. You can take your time, get comfortable with the environment, and participate when you feel ready.

If you prefer, you can submit recorded videos for feedback and receive detailed guidance from instructors without playing live. As your skills grow, confidence typically follows. Move at your own pace.

The Confidence Cycle™

Inside the Academy, development follows a live performance-feedback loop.

  • First, you gain clarity on exactly what to practice so your time is focused on the specific skills that move you toward your goals.

  • Next, you structure your practice for efficiency and consistency, ensuring steady progress without wasted effort.

  • Then, you can either perform what you’ve practiced live and receive immediate feedback, or you can record your playing and ask for critique from your instructor.

Personalized For You

There is no fixed curriculum inside the Academy. Every student follows a learning path built specifically around their current level, goals, and available practice time.

  • First, we start with an onboarding document so we can understand your background and objectives.

  • Next, we do a live assessment of your playing.

  • Then, define and document your goals, build your curriculum, and establish your structured success path.

Academy Student Standard™

Students who thrive in Academy demonstrate three core traits:

1. Commitment

You’re serious about improving and prepared to put in the consistent work real progress requires.

2. Participation
You show up, practice consistently, ask questions, and stay engaged. Progress requires participation, not passive consumption.

3. Coachability

You’re open to guidance, receptive to feedback, and willing to make adjustments that move you forward.

Time Commitment

Consistency matters more than intensity. Steady, structured practice produces results.

  • Your results will reflect your effort.

  • The more consistently you practice and participate, the faster you will progress.

  • We generally recommend approximately one hour of focused practice per day, or about seven hours per week.

Our Instructors

GuitarZoom Academy is led by a professional faculty of trained musicians and professional educators.

  • Our instructors hold formal degrees in music performance and education, including bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral-level study.

  • They are active, performing musicians and composers across many genres including jazz, blues, rock, acoustic, metal, and contemporary styles.

  • But musicianship alone is not enough. We select faculty for their ability to teach — to assess clearly, explain simply, guide, and encourage students along their journey.

  • Collectively, our team brings more than 200 years of combined teaching experience and has worked with thousands of students at every level.

How We Match You With Your Instructor

Based on your assessment, we match you with the instructor best aligned with your goals and experience. If at any time you feel another instructor would better support your development, you may request a change.

Inside the Academy

Each week follows a structured rhythm built around your goals. You complete focused practice based on clear direction, log your work, and bring your progress into live Zoom sessions where instructors assess and guide you in real time.

You can attend live classes, join open rooms for help, ask questions, and receive immediate feedback as you develop. Between sessions, you stay connected through the Academy community and your personalized success path.

The result is a consistent cycle of clarity, practice, feedback, and refinement — not isolated practice and guesswork.

Enrollment

The Academy is designed for students who are ready for growth.

Students who progress the fastest do not stay isolated. They show up, engage, ask for help, share their progress, ask for feedback, and contribute to the Academy community.

You may be a strong candidate if you are willing to:

  • Practice approximately seven (7) hours per week

  • Attend live sessions consistently

  • Share your playing and ask for feedback

  • Reach out for help when you get stuck

  • Engage with and support other students inside the Academy community

  • Show up with a good attitude and a willingness to grow 🤩

The Academy rewards involvement. If you participate, you will win.
